As a Registered Financial Consultant, James Simmons is a planning resource to assist in protecting clients’ lifestyle, retirement, legacy and wealth transfer issues. Utilizing a holistic wealth management approach, James will provide the insight of a seasoned estate planning, financial planning, retirement planning, and insurance planning professional.
As a Registered Financial Consultant, James Simmons is a planning resource to assist in protecting clients’ lifestyle, retirement, legacy and wealth transfer issues. Utilizing a holistic wealth management approach, James will provide the insight of a seasoned estate planning, financial planning, retirement planning, and insurance planning professional.
James will coordinate the comprehensive planning process with attorneys, accountants and other professionals. He will review and evaluate existing life insurance and shepherd the underwriting of new insurance. Ultimately, James will design and implement plans for the multitude of longevity issues, including long term care, that we may all experience.
Professional History
James has served as an Estate and Insurance Planning Specialist for several well-known Wall Street brokerage firms. James has extensive experience with ultra-high net worth clients and their complex planning issues. He understands the multi-disciplined approach to planning and is well-versed in the core concepts of estate, retirement and business planning, charitable giving, and insurance. Further, asset protection, leveraged gifting, life insurance in profit sharing plans and “First Family” estate equalization are his other areas of expertise.

Education and Personal Information
James completed the CFP training at the University of St. Thomas in Houston. He holds the Registered Financial Consultant designation (RFC), as well as, Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 66. He also holds Life, Health and Long-Term Care Insurance licenses. Outside of the office, James is President of the Camp Logan Memorial Civic Association and is on the Board of Directors of the Post Oak Lane Owners Association. He is an avid marathon runner having completed 30 consecutive Houston Marathons.
